A former Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook staffer says Governor Ralph Northam likely knew about the racist photo. Northam denies knowing about a picture showing someone in blackface next to someone in a KKK hood on his 1984 yearbook page which just surfaced. Doctor William Elmwood worked on the layout for that year’s yearbook and he says each student submitted their own pictures for their own page. Elmwood says anything’s possible, but it’s unlikely that someone else submitted the controversial picture.

The woman accusing Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault is hiring Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team. The unidentified woman is accusing Fairfax of assaulting her during the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004. NBC news confirms that the woman has retained the services of Katz, Marshall and Banks. That’s the same firm that represented Blasey Ford last year during Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process to the Supreme Court. Fairfax maintains that they had a consensual encounter and calls this allegation a smear.
