Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is trying repeal an election law that requires voters to show identification before casting a ballot. He says this is an effort to break down barriers that discourage eligible voters from participation in the democratic process. This legislation will be championed by Senator Mamie Locke and Delegate Kaye Kory. Kory says the photo ID requirement prevents the most vulnerable Virginians from voting.
