Richmond, VA -Richmond Public Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras has an idea to help fund local schools. His idea is the unpopular tax rate increase by ten-cents for every thousand-dollars worth of assessed value. Kamras says the tax increase would generate about 20-million-dollars more a year. Since residents don’t like to hear ‘tax increase’ Superintendent Kamras send a letter to parents explaining why RPS need the money and how they intend to use it.
Richmond, VA –Witnesses heard five or six shots Wednesday morning on North 29th Streets and say at least one of the shots hit a home near Nine Mile Road. A nine-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet that hit the home, but was treated at the hospital and is expected to survive. Police didn’t say where the bullet grazed the little. Anyone with information on the Wednesday morning shooting is asked to call 9-1-1 or drop a tip to Crime Stoppers.
Hanover, VA – Christopher Brannan, a former Lee-Davis High School special education teacher, could spend three years in prison for a 2014 Celebgate hacking scandal. According to a federal plea agreement Brennan hacked more than 200 people including high-profile individuals, fellow teachers, students and family members. Brannan is expected to enter his guilty plea next week.
