The Governor’s Task Force on Prescription Drug and Heroin Abuse in Virginia presents CurbTheCrisis.com, a new website intended as a comprehensive resource for all Virginians in the fight against opioid misuse and overdose throughout the Commonwealth.
Clovia Lawrence of Radio One Inc and the Barbershop Talks, One Community of Recovery is joining forces with CurbtheCrisis to assist individuals who are ready to take one step toward recovery. It’s a mutual walk into recovery.
The Barbershop Talk, One Community of Recovery is a platform for the community to speak out about the ills of addictive behavior and the impact on families. This is a non-judgemental gathering of concerned teens, young adults, educators, mental health counselors, peer recovery specialists and other support groups. The ‘Barb Talk’ believes that we all can recover from substance use disorders, mental health disorders, depression and other addictive behaviors.
