You may not know his name, but you are definitely familiar with his brand. Originally from Ghana, Lewis came to Richmond to attend VCU and received his bachelor’s in graphic design.
However, his love for food propelled him into the restaurant business. Lewis Asare is the owner of Sweet Teas Southern Cuisine, a staple soul food restaurant in Richmond, Hampton, and Norfolk Virginia.
Lewis believes that community involvement is imperative, and uses his restaurants to not only feed the community but more importantly service the city he loves.
