Earlier today, Beyonce, who is currently on tour in the UK sat down with ABC News’ Amy Robach in London to discuss her upcoming new animated movie ‘Epic’ which she says is one of the first projects she took on after giving birth to Blue Ivy. During the interview, Beyonce also discussed the backlash she received last month while vacationing with her hubby Jay-Z in Cuba, as well as her plans to have more kids so that Blue Ivy can have some company.

On her trip to cuba and the backlash she and Jay-Z received
You know, it was such a beautiful trip. I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs. And it was really, it was really educational for me. I learned so much about so many people and the country, and it was actually quite shocking.
On her upcoming new animation film ‘Epic’
You know, I was so honored when they asked for me to do this role. And I was actually pregnant at the time. And I thought, ‘You know, by the time this comes out my daughter will understand it’s my voice and what an incredible, cool point.
It’s such a beautiful role and it has so much depth. You know, it’s so emotional and I literally, I was crying when I did the voiceover. And it was the first thing I did after giving birth. And there’s a scene where I pick the pod. And literally there were tears falling [down my face]. I imagined seeing her for the first time and it was really emotional. The perfect first job for me.
On not being as high maintenance as many might assume
You know, at the end of the day you’re the same exact person. You know, I still like the simple things. Like, I have on my press-on nails right now. I have on my store-bought press-on nails. But my color, my paint is professionally done.
On her ultimate goal
I just want happiness and I want great friends and — and great family.
On whether she plans on having more kids and protecting Blue Ivy
I would like more children, I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister. And I am very protective. I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life … in the back of my mind, she’s my priority. And life is completely different now. So I’m — I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that’s to be her mother.
