Kelly Ballentine, a district judge is facing up to seven years of jail time for allegedly dismissing three tickets that were against her. Two of the three tickets, Ballentine obtained were for parking. The third ticket came from her registration.
Ballentine was put on bail for 25,000 and has been arraigned. The judge faces charges for tampering and obstruction of public records. Until the conflict is resolved the judge was been put on leave with pay. The law applies to everyone, including the people who administer it. Judge Kelly Ballentine had to learn that the hard way.
