John Legend is being accused of jacking a track from an up-and-coming artist after he let John listen to his demo tape.
According to the lawsuit, songwriter Anthony Stokes claims Legend promised to listen to the song but never got back to him. When he heard Legend’s song “Maxine’s Interlude” he realized Legend had jacked his track titled “Where Are You Now?”
Stokes has demanded unspecified damages.
