On Friday, we reported that New York DJ Funkmaster Flex was arrested for aggravated harasssment. The “mystery” woman that he allegedly pushed has been identified as his wife of 11-years Monica Joseph-Taylor.
Monica, a former producer for the Regis and Kelly show, told press: “We’re doing okay. I would love everyone to respect the privacy of my family – for me and my children,” after being asked to explain what took place at the couple’s upscale Westchester home Friday evening.
According to the New York Daily News, the fight erupted at about 5 a.m. inside the couple’s bedroom. It was sparked by threatening text messages Flex sent his wife Thursday night.
Funkmaster Flex was charged with three counts of criminal mischief and harassment, and released on $500 bail. While dee-jaying Friday night in New Jersey, Flex said,
“Yes, we had words,” Flex said. “Yes, there was an argument. Yes, there was a phone broken. Yes, there were police called. I love my fans, and I encourage all of them to work things out in their own marriages.”
Flex is no stranger to controversy has been viewed as a bully for years. Hope the couple can work things out.
