The youth are not crazy.  While rap newbies like Trinidad James have monopolized most of the recent headlines, there are young’ns holding the mic in a way that some of us 90′s hip-hop fans can relate to and appreciate.

Pro Era’s Joey Bada$$ has been bubbling on the underground for little more than a year alongside his Pro Era crew and is poised for a mainstream breakthrough.  With the Freddie Joachim produced “Waves” in heavy rotation we get a new song and video from an upcoming Marc Ecko project “Underground Airplay.”

Watch as Joey, Big K.R.I.T and Smoke DZA take us back to that gritty, subterranean, lo-fi filtered time when MCs reigned supreme.
