Last week, The Urban Daily reported Drake was being sued by an ex-girlfriend for using her voice on “Marvin’s Room” without being compensated. The Canadian rapper’s ex, Ericka Lee, claims Drake sent her text messages confirming her contribution to the track.

Now, a rep for Drake is claiming Lee’s lawsuit is without merit and can’t wait to take the matter to court. The rep said, “This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct,” the spokesperson told Rolling Stone. “Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ prior to its release. Lee asked only for the credit she received as ‘Syren Lyric Muse,’ and she did not ask for any compensation. It was only after she retained a lawyer that there was a demand for payment. Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court.”

Drake saying he can’t wait to go to court for this matter seems like famous last words. He better be careful.
