The Boston Celtics lost Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Orlando Magic, and Celtics’ big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis went one step further, losing his balance after an elbow from Dwight Howard.

After pint-sized Nate Robinson somehow blocked Howard’s lay up attempt, the Orlando giant fought for the rebound, and in the fray his elbow drilled Big Baby right in the nose.  Davis stayed on the ground, obviously shaken, before getting up and staggering towards mid-court.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers initially pleaded with Baby to get up and play offense, but when he finally did, the Celtics were forced to take a timeout and referee Joe Crawford grabbed Davis to keep him from falling over for a second time.

After the game, Davis was diagnosed with a concussion.

“I know he blacked out on the floor,” Rivers said.  “I don’t know what kinda tests they’re gonna do with Baby because he’s a little delirious half the time anyway, so I don’t know how he’s gonna pass a test.  I’m a little worried about that.”

Celtics bench player Marquis Daniels also suffered a concussion during Game 5.

Boston has lost both of the last two games, but still holds a 3-2 series lead as the teams head back to Boston for Game 6.
