Dany B Brings The Energy To MLK Middle School Pep Rally Ahead Of SOL Testing
As students at MLK Middle School in Richmond, VA prepare for upcoming SOL testing, the building got a much-needed boost of energy thanks to a high-spirited pep rally designed to motivate and inspire. Hosted by yours truly, the event brought together music, movement, and community in a way that had students fully engaged from start to finish.
From the moment the rally kicked off, the vibe was clear—this wasn’t just about testing, it was about confidence, pride, and showing up ready. Students filled the space with excitement, feeding off the music and interactive moments that kept the energy high throughout.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was the presence of members from Divine 9 organizations, who came through and delivered powerful step and party hop performances. Their routines weren’t just entertaining—they carried a deeper message of unity, discipline, and cultural pride that resonated with the students. Watching them perform brought an added layer of inspiration, showing what excellence and teamwork look like in action.
The rally also created space for encouragement, reminding students that they’re more than capable of tackling the challenge ahead. It wasn’t about pressure—it was about preparation and mindset. Moments like these matter, especially when students can feel supported not just by their school, but by the broader community showing up for them.
To capture the experience, I shared a behind-the-scenes look on my Instagram, giving a glimpse into the energy, the performances, and the connection with the students. From the smiles to the music to the crowd participation, it’s clear this was more than just a school event—it was a moment.
As testing season approaches, MLK Middle School students are walking in with more than just pencils and paper—they’re walking in with confidence, community support, and a reminder that they’ve got this.
