Drake Expands UMG Lawsuit to Include Roc Nation Execs
Filed Monday (Aug. 18), the new complaint accuses more than 20 industry figures of defamation, harassment, and deceptive practices. Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, alleges the defendants amplified “Not Like Us” — even orchestrating its Super Bowl halftime performance — in an effort to tarnish his image. Names listed span Interscope, Republic Records, UMG, and Roc Nation, including executives like Steve Berman, Jody Gerson, Sir Lucian Grainge, and Jesse Collins.
The Toronto rapper is seeking monetary damages, attorneys’ fees, and injunctive relief, claiming the coordinated campaign was designed to inflict lasting harm on his reputation and brand. The amended suit marks a major escalation in what’s shaping up to be one of the most explosive legal battles in recent hip-hop history.
Drake isn’t just fighting back in the booth — he’s taking the battle straight to the boardroom.
