Recently released from jail, Young Thug is back on the mic.
Thugger is one of several featured artists on Lil Baby’s new album, WHAM, released Friday (Jan. 3). He joins Lil Baby and Future on the album’s second track, “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber.” Thug opens his verse on the Wheezy-produced track to briefly discuss his two-year jail stint.
Yeah, ni**a, King Spider back/ I don’t even believe I was locked up, for real, for real/ I was havin’ my way the whole time, fool, you know what I’m sayin’?
The reflection was short-lived, as the rest of the verse focuses on flexing on his opps and showing off his lavish lifestyle.
“Two Lamb’ coupes, four Lamb’ trucks/ Pullin’ up, what the f**k?/ Neck, wrist, fingers slush/ Order hundred G’s, that’s us/ New Rolls Cullinan truck/ Dog on the side like a bus/ Shawty mad, ain’t goin’ back and forth/ Never heard a rich ni**a fuss/ Heard these ni**as going out sad/ ‘Rari truck came with a bag,”
The new verse comes less than three months after Thugger was released from jail following his high-profile YSL RICO case. The rapper (legal name Jeffrey Williams) pleaded guilty to six counts of gang-related activities as part of a deal with prosecutors. As a result, he received time served and 15 years probation.
