Cultural scholar, social activist, author, and possibly the coolest college professor around, Michael Eric Dyson can add another accolade to make him a black national treasure.
In honor of Hip Hop phenome Jay-Z’s 50th birthday, the legendary rapper is collaborating with Dyson to release an in-depth analysis of his lyrics and life entitled Jay-Z: Made in America.

Dyson is no stranger to writing on and collaborating with, hip hop legends. He’s also written about Tupac Shakur and Nas. Jay-Z even wrote the introduction to Dyson’s Know What I Mean?: Reflections on Hip Hop.
Jay-Z: Made in America is set to be released fall 2019.
