Nas’s ex-wife, Kelis talks about her marriage to the New York rapper in a new interview with Hollywood Unlocked. Kelis spoke about the extreme “highs and lows” of her marriage to Nas, even claiming physical abuse. Kelis says that there was a lot of drinking, smoking weed and money being spent during their 5-year marriage, the singer turned foodie and chef claimed that Nas would blackout from drinking and that the relationship became toxic, which led to Kelis filing for a divorce during the time she was pregnant. “God is so good because had I not been pregnant, I probably would have stayed longer. Because I really did love him and we were married.” Kelis continues the interview talking about how the home that Nas and she shared was foreclosed on the day after she gave birth to their son. Kelis also claims that Nas isn’t really present in their 8-year-old son’s life and how the incident between Rihanna and Chris Brown made her want to tell her own truths of abuse.
