Much of America is not looking forward to Donald Trump‘s presidency, and much of the country’s top performers refuse to perform in the Inauguration. Because of this simple fact, the shortlist of performers at this year’s inauguration are pretty underwhelming, especially compared to the last two ceremonies. On the other hand, this year is going to prove to be a prime opportunity for certain groups who do chose to perform- including Talledega College’s marching band.

The historically black college is catching a lot of flack for accepting the offer to perform, but, as Jeff Johnson state, it’s not necessarily a bad thing that they’re performing. And they certainly don’t deserve to be thrown under the bus for it.
