According to ESPN reports:
The Lions announced the release of the 29-year-old running back Wednesday afternoon.
Bush signed a four-year deal with the Lions in 2013, but couldn’t stay healthy in 2014 dealing with a lingering ankle injury that started in Week 5 and never completely healed.
The Lions released Reggie Bush on Wednesday after two seasons with the team.
The move saves the Lions $1.7 million in cap room for 2015, which is needed in order to keep defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh
Bush turns 30 years old next week.
