Records show Wade and Union went to a Miami-Dade office to pick up an unsigned marriage license Aug. 26, 2014.
Their wedding ceremony then took place on Aug. 30 in Homestead.
Here’s the thing Floridians are asked to send the signed license back to the county to make it official within 10 days of the ceremony.
According to the records, Wade and Union haven’t done that yet.
“It happens that some people don’t send it back,” Reboso said. “But in case of legal problems, or if one of members of a couple were to die, the other would not be able to claim his or her property.”
