Charles Ramsey is moving on up. The man who helped reduce four kidnapping victims in Cleveland last May has signed a contract to publish his memoirs.

According to reports, the famous hero landed a deal with Ohio publisher David Gray & Co. on Thursday. “What you saw on TV doesn’t even begin to tell the story,” Ramsey said in the company’s announcement of the signing.

Co-author Randy Nyerges added, “Charles says outrageous things, but what a story he has…America doesn’t know yet how truly brilliant this guy is.”

Ramsey was pushed in the spotlight on May 6 after he responded to cries for help from a woman trapped inside the house. He went on to rescue Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and her 6-year-old daughter. Each of the victims — excluding the little girl, whom kidnapper Ariel Castro fathered — were abducted on the streets of Cleveland between 2002 and 2004, when they were 14, 16 and 20.

An official title and release date for Ramsey’s project has yet to be announced. Sources say the women are also working on separate books of their own.

In July, Castro pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison, plus 1000 years. In September, he was found dead in his jail cell of an apparent suicide.
