Houston Rockets power forward Terrence Jones allegedly stomped on a homeless man’s leg in downtown Portland early Wednesday morning.

According to Portland police, the 21-year-old former Jefferson High School star was coming out of the Tube nightclub with a large group when a sergeant observed him yell at two homeless men who were sleeping in the doorway of 114 NW 3rd Ave. to “wake up.” Jones then stomped on one of the men’s legs. Jones was apprehended about a half a block away, Portland police said.

The victim, identified as 46-year-old Daniel John Kellerher, suffered a minor leg injury but did not require serious medical attention.

Jones was booked and released from the Multnomah County Jail on one count of misdemeanor harassment after posting $1,500 bail. Rockets spokesperson Tracey Hughes said the team had no comment when contacted by email.

The 18th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft out of Kentucky, Jones averaged 5.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 14.5 minutes in only 19 regular season games last season for Houston.
