President Obama Reveals 'I'm Trying To Be What My Dad Wasn't'

Whether you’re gay, straight, a grandparent or foster parent, being a dad isn’t easy and President Obama knows this first hand. In his weekly Internet and radio address, the commander in chief honored father’s of every kind and shared his personal goals of being a better dad than his own father. “I never really knew my father,” he said. “I was raised by two wonderful grandparents. And, we are glad to know that our president is leading by example! To celebrate Father’s Day this year, the POTUS met with the students of the Becoming A Man (BAM) program, encourages African-American teenage boys to embrace the responsiblies of manhood and fatherhood, for a luncheon in the Oval Office.
