Yesterday, we told you about John Legend’s fiance receiving death threats from Chris Brown fans because she didn’t like his performance at the 2012 Billboard Awards. Though she held her own during the onslaught of trash talk from Breezy stans, John Legend took to Twitter to defend his intended bride.

Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen posted a tweet giving her opinion of Chris Brown’s performance of “Turn Up The Music,” saying, “Why sing when you can dance?” Brown’s fans didn’t take too kindly to Teigen’s “hate” and attacked her by saying she should’ve been aborted and the most horrific was when a person tweeted her saying she deserves to be raped and murdered.
Once Brown caught wind of the brewing media storm, he tweeted his fans to calm down and then called Teigen a hater. John Legend remained fairly quiet about the whole thing until people started telling him to keep his b***h on a leash. Once Breezy fans went at John like that he responded with a stern but polite statement. The only time Legend seemed angry was when he addressed people calling his woman a b***h. Legend tweeted, “And don’t ever tell me to put my ‘b***h on a leash.’ She’s a grown woman with her own mind and her own opinions and this is not 1950.”
Let this be a lesson to you all. Do not try to step to John Legend or Chrissy Teigen sideways because they can and will take it there.
Personally, I don't think @chrissyteigen's existence is pointless. Nor anyone else who dares criticize a performance—

Every artist has to be ok with the fact that some people won't like their work. All critics aren't "haters"—

And don't ever tell me to put my "bitch on a leash". She's a grown woman with her own mind and her own opinions and this is not 1950.—
