Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel is facing some time behind bars after he pleaded guilty in a Federal court on today (August 9th) to owing almost $350,000 in back taxes.
Beanie was originally accused of failing to report over $1,000,000 in income. According to the IRS, Beanie didn’t pay taxes from 2003-2005 while he was an artist on Roc-A-Fella Records.
Beanie’s lawyer, Fortunato Perri Jr., will challenge the government’s calculations. Beanie is scheduled for sentencing on November 18th.
