Henrico Police continue their search for a suspect in the brutal murder of a soon-to-be mother whose body was discovered by concerned family members Wednesday.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Gregory Nelson, Jr. in the death of Susana Cisneros, who was found murdered in the parking lot of the Hardee’s restaurant in the 5000 block of West Broad Street.

The victim’s family said that Nelson, a married man from Chesterfield County, was Cisneros’ boyfriend and the father of her unborn child. Cisneros was about nine months pregnant. Family members found the victim’s bloodied SUV before discovering her body behind the fast food restaurant.

Investigators confirmed Thursday that Nelson had been pulled over by Chesterfield police for an unspecified traffic violation sometime after the murder. Police did not yet know that Nelson was a suspect.

Late Wednesday afternoon, police executed a search warrant on Nelson’s Chesterfield home. Detectives removed several bags of potential evidence as well as a rifle case.

Nelson was last seen driving a black Toyota Camry with Virginia plates XSH-4405. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
