Mary J. Blige Redeems Herself at Kentucky Derby with National Anthem Performance
The Queen of Hip Hop/Soul has had two big performances lately that have racked up some major attention. Her singing of “The Star Spangled Banner” at this year’s NBA All Star Weekend back in February received mixed reviews and didn’t quite make it into the top performances of the song.
This past weekend, however, if there was any doubt that she can pull it off with flying colors, Mary’s rendition at the Kentucky Derby proved it. We’ve been having the discussion on our own, but we want to share them both with you to compare below.
