Jay-Z’s absence from the “We Are The World” remake did not go unnoticed. So why did the Jiggaman elect not to participate?

The long awaited remake of the 1985 charity song “We Are The World” premiered tonight, February 12th, during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

The full artist roster for the “We Are The World 25 For Haiti) was unveiled yesterday (February 10) and a number of top rappers will be featured on the remake of the 1985 hit single.

I agree so much with Common on this one. They couldn’t write a new song for Haiti with a new title? It may be for a good cause but this song looks like it’s going to taint the legacy of “We Are The World.”
