Reggae superstar Buju Banton was found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five or more kilos of cocaine, attempted possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, and using the wires to facilitate a drug-trafficking offense. Banton was found not guilty of possession of a firearm.

A jury will begin deliberating today in the cocaine trial of reggae superstar Buju Banton. Banton is accused of conspiring with two men to set up a drug deal in December 2009.

Four months after being arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, reggae star Buju Banton’s trial has been postponed.
