Some Scoop: What To Expect From The 2010 BET Awards
BET is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the BET Awards tonight and the show is suppose to be HUGE This year. This may actually be the biggest and best show that the BET Awards has put on. Here’s a few reasons you should watch:
Prince will be accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award and there will be another “tribute” in memory of Michael Jackson. Stephen Hill told Blackvoices “We will indeed do an acknowledgment of Michael Jackson, and we are doing this in a way that you have not seen yet, but we know you want to“.
According to my homeboy Gyant who seems to have pretty solid sources, Chris Brown will be a part of the Michael Jackson tribute. He posted on BET.com:
Word on the street, from a VERY reliable source, is that powers that be have reached out to current embattled Pop star Chris Brown to bless the stage and pay homage to his musical idol in conjunction with the anniversary of his passing.
Details surrounding the super secretive surprise are being guarded, so I don’t have much on what exactly Chris will perform, but let’s be honest this opportunity could save both my new networks home in the eyes of the public, and Chris who is currently in the fight of his life every since that debacle almost a year and a half ago.
That’s a good look for Chris and I’d assume if it’s posted on BET.com, there’s some validity to it.
Also, I heard the Jackson Five will be a part of the tribute as well. That’ll be great if they are..
Kanye West will be making his first appearance at an awards show since the MTV Video Music Awards debacle last year. He will be performing…
Alicia Keys will be performing for the last time on television at tonight’s awards show. She is allegedly taking time off due to her pregnancy…

Of course, Drake will be performing. This has been a big year for him…
Nicki Minaj and Diddy will be performing..

Eminem will be performing and I hear he will bring out a few guests. I would love for him to bring out Rihanna to perform “Like the Way You Lie”
TI will make his first televised performance since his prison stint at the show tonight. Travis Barker will be a part of his set…
Monica will perform a duet..
Ludacris will also perform. I would love for him to bring out all the rap chicks for “My Chick Bad”
Queen Latifah is supposed to open the show with a big musical number. It is suppose to remind people of the show “Glee”
The highlight for me will be PRINCE. I’m not sure what type of tribute they will have for him but I’m super excited about this man hitting the stage. I also want to know what surprises BET has in store. *or did I just tell them all?* just kidding..
