Hip-hop mega star Drake had to be shocked when his entire album “Thank Me Later” popped up on the Internet last night. But according to his twitter he wasn’t that upset with the leak; and for good reason. In today’s modern day Wild Wild West of an industry it’s just about inevitable that your album will be leaked on the Internet. It’s a very lucrative transaction if people can get there hands on the music before the world can. It’s like being able to get your hands on a free Apple iPad weeks before they were released.
Drake’s album is set to release June 15th, but with the early leak his number’s are surely going to take a hit. The real drake fans are still going to buy the album, but in this recession dominated era most are likely to download or cop it from a friend. All Hail The Internet! (Sorry Drake)
