Boosie and Rod Wave’s Sample Dispute Heats Up Again

Boosie recently blasted Rod Wave on social media, accusing the Florida rapper of disrespect over the use of one of his songs. In a series of posts, Boosie claimed Rod wouldn’t have handled the situation the same way with another artist and questioned why he was treated differently.

Rod Wave pushed back on those claims, saying the sample was properly cleared and that he even offered Boosie $100,000 to use it. During a recent interview, Rod said he grew up admiring Boosie and intended the sample as a tribute, but admitted the fallout has changed how he views the situation.

The dispute dates back to 2023, when Boosie first threatened legal action over the sample. Nearly three years later, it appears the two rappers are still far from settling their differences.
