Druski Explains Why He Never Turned His Back on Drake
In a recent interview with GQ, the comedian addressed the criticism he received for standing by Drake throughout the rap battle. Druski said his support had nothing to do with public opinion and everything to do with loyalty.
“That’s my brother,” Druski said, explaining that Drake was one of the first major artists to support him early in his career, including casting him in the “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video back in 2020.
He also shut down rumors that he intentionally avoided Kendrick Lamar backstage at an awards show, saying social media took a brief clip out of context and created a false narrative.
While fans continue to debate the biggest rap feud in recent history, Druski says his stance was simple: when it comes to real friendships, loyalty comes first.
