The Barbie Takes on The BLK RVA Community Awards
Representing Radio One at the BLK RVA Community Awards was truly a special experience for me. It was an honor to be in a room surrounded by so many incredible people who are making an impact in the Richmond community. Being able to represent Radio One gave me an even greater appreciation for the power of media, connection, and community.
The event was filled with inspiring stories, meaningful conversations, and people who continue to pour into the community in so many different ways. I loved being able to connect with others, celebrate their accomplishments, and witness the positive impact they are making. Moments like this remind me why representation matters and how important it is to use your platform to shine a light on the people and organizations doing great work.
Walking away from the BLK RVA Community Awards, I felt proud, inspired, and grateful to have been part of such a meaningful celebration. Representing Radio One was more than just showing up—it was an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and be a part of something bigger than myself. I’ll always cherish the experience and the memories I made while representing a company that values community and the power of bringing people together.
