“Michael 2” Confirmed, Filming Set for 2027
Following the record-breaking success of the first film, Lionsgate has confirmed that “Michael 2” is moving forward, with filming expected to begin in 2027.
The original movie, directed by Antoine Fuqua, chronicled the King of Pop’s rise from child star to global icon and quickly became the highest-opening biopic of all time.
With that kind of momentum, it’s no surprise the studio is ready to continue telling Michael’s story — likely diving deeper into the later stages of his career and legacy.
