Janet Jackson Declines Role in Michael Jackson Biopic
According to La Toya Jackson, Janet was asked to participate in the highly anticipated film about their brother Michael Jackson — but she “kindly declined.”
La Toya shared that while she respects Janet’s decision, she personally wished the entire family could have been involved in the project.
Director Antoine Fuqua also addressed Janet’s absence, saying he has nothing but love and respect for her, adding that she still supports her nephew Jaafar Jackson, who is portraying Michael in the film.
Janet may not be on screen, but her support behind the scenes shows the family is still standing behind the project.
