Stefon Diggs Pleads Not Guilty in Strangulation Case

Last year, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs was accused of strangling his personal chef during a dispute over pay.
Today, Diggs appeared in court for arraignment and pleaded not guilty to the charges. The brief hearing lasted just over a minute. He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim — including through third parties — and was released on personal recognizance bail.
Diggs is scheduled to return to court on April 1 for a pretrial hearing. He did not comment as he entered the courthouse, but his attorney maintains Diggs is completely innocent and says the allegations are false.
This case is still unfolding. We’ll keep you posted as it moves toward the next court date.
