Two months ago, reports said Jay-Z missed the deadline to request attorneys’ fees after the paternity suit brought by Rymir Satterwhite and his guardian Dr. Lillie Coley was dismissed.

Despite that, a judge has now awarded $120,000 in fees tied to the case. Details on how the request was granted weren’t immediately available, but the ruling effectively shifts a portion of the legal costs back to the plaintiffs following the dismissal.

Neither Jay-Z’s team nor the plaintiffs have issued new statements as of press time.

Case tossed, costs awarded: with the $120K ruling, Jay-Z closes another chapter in the long-running dispute.
