NBC Cancels Snoop Dogg’s New Year’s Eve Special
According to The Wrap, NBC canceled the two-hour event citing “scheduling issues.” Snoop later confirmed the decision, saying he wanted to give his full attention to the upcoming Winter Olympics.
“Sometimes the calendar gets in the way of the celebration,” Snoop said in a statement. “My NBC family and I decided this winter was time for us to focus on the Olympics. But don’t worry — we’ll party together bigger and better later in 2026. Ya dig.”
The live special, originally scheduled for Dec. 31 at 10:30 p.m., was expected to feature performances and celebrity guest appearances. NBC has yet to announce any replacement programming for New Year’s Eve.
Snoop’s Miami party may be off for now, but the Doggfather promises the celebration will be back — and louder — next year.
