K.Samone’s Text Bae of The Day(TBOTD): Emma Sicat
The Text Bae of the Day (TBOTD) highlights individuals, organizations and businesses making a positive impact in our community.
K. Samone’s TBOTD is Emma Sicat, a recent graduate of Glen Allen High School, who is being recognized for her outstanding work on and off the field.
Emma is an avid soccer player with the Richmond Strikers, but her goals extend far beyond athletics. She was recently awarded a $1,000 Future Female Leader Scholarship from the National Society of High School Scholars.
She also founded Leveling the Playing Field, an organization dedicated to redistributing sports equipment to under-resourced communities. In addition, she organized a schoolwide equipment drive and launched the Athletes Giving Back Club at Glen Allen High School.
This fall, Emma will begin her freshman year at Williams College in Massachusetts, where she plans to major in economics while continuing her soccer career. Beyond playing, she also serves as a soccer coach, referee and mentor, setting the standard for leadership on and off the field.
