Former En Vogue Member Reveals She’s Been Living In Her Car For The Past Three Years

Former member of the iconic R&B group Dawn Robinson has revealed that she has been living in her car for nearly three years.
Robinson opened up about her struggles in a YouTube vlog that she filmed from her car. She shared that after moving out of her mother’s home in Las Vegas and struggling to find housing in Los Angeles, she turned to living in her car. A statement that she shared in the video was “I’ve been living in my car for almost three years. It’s been a journey, but I’m proud of myself for figuring it out. I felt free, and I don’t regret it.”
She also spoke about the difficulties shes faced, whether it was with financial struggles to emotional struggles. While the R&B singer was on the road, she unfortunately loss her dog Max. Despite the struggles, she expressed that the experience has been one of self-discovery and strength. She also wanted fans to know that this was in fact not a publicity stunt by stating; “I’ve been documenting my journey for a documentary. This is my reality, and I hope it inspires others to see they can overcome anything.”
Robinson is still currently living in her car. Despite her current situation, she remains very hopeful about the future. “When I succeed again — and I will — it’ll be even more meaningful because I’ve been through the fire,” she said. “I want people to know that they’re capable of more than they think. If I can do this, so can you.”
Dawn first came to fame as part of En Vogue. En Vogue was one of the world’s best selling girl groups back in the early 90’s. They were known for some of their big hits including “Hold On,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Giving Him Something He Can Feel.” Throughout her career, Robinson has sold over 11 million records and received numerous awards, including seven MTV Video Music Awards and eight Grammy nominations.”
