Richmond Police Officers Indicted In Alleged Nightclub Assault

A special prosecutor will be brought in to handle the case against two Richmond police officers accused of assault and battery.
Charles Battle and Donnell Patterson were each indicted by a grand jury this week on the misdemeanor charge.
The pair are accused of throwing an 18 year old to the ground and kicking and beating him.
It happened on July 27, 2009, outside of Club 534 where the officers were off duty but working as security.
