The Women of Color within the Time’s Up movement is adding their voice to the #MuteRKelly campaign. A letter says in part, “The scars of history make certain that we are not interested in persecuting anyone without just cause.” It continues, “With that said, we demand appropriate investigations and inquiries into the allegations of R. Kelly’s abuse made by women of color and their families for over two decades now.” The group is demanding that Kelly’s label, RCA, cut ties with him. The WOC also focused on Ticketmaster and the Greensboro Coliseum Complex to cancel an upcoming show. Spotify and Apple Music were also requested to take action.
