Kanye opened up on a recent tour stop about why he may boycott the Grammy’s over Frank Ocean:
“I was supposed to go on a tour with GaGa, about 6,7 years ago or something around that. She wasn’t nominated for Best New Artist, right? But they wanted her to perform at the show. They wanted her to open, right?? So the Grammys secretly changed something about the nominations and nominated her in order to have her perform at the show.”
“Now, Frank Ocean on the other hand, is very vocal that his album wasn’t nominated for a Grammy. But since he’s vocal, nobody wants to say nothing about it. Nobody wants to do nothing about it.
I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you this right now, if his album is not nominated in no categories, I’m not showing up to the Grammys. As artists we have to come together to fight the bullsh*t that they be doing to us. All we want is a fair shot.”
