The Meadows Music & Arts Festival - Day 1

It was an eventful weekend in Queens, as some of our favorite artists hit the Meadows Festival stage for two nights of good music – and apparently, a lot of booing.

Plenty of huge names performed at the Queens, New York fest, including J. Cole, Mac Miller, and Kanye West, but as it turns out, it wasn’t just a weekend of music. We’ve already heard about Kanye cutting his set short after learning Kim was robbed in Paris, and now, it appears Cole had an odd onstage moment too.

After an energetic set, the 2014 Forest Hills Drive rapper told the audience it would be his “last show for a very long time.” It was disappointing, especially because Cole didn’t explain why. Some of the audience even booed.

Earlier on in his set, he asked that everyone in the audience put their arms around the people next to them.

Maybe this means we can look forward to a new album soon? Watch Cole announce his hiatus above.
