There is no denying that Christi Caston from Bryan, TX has beautiful curls! If you check our her YouTube This natural hair beauty loves rocking her hair in multiple different natural styles! This loose curl afro is beautiful and goes big, while still having great definition. Caston exclusively tells Hello Beautiful how she achieved this look: a chunky twist out with perm rods at the ends. She used Curls Creme Brule and Curls Goddess Curls Gel.
For bigger hair, separate your hair in larger sections when you twist. However, know that this will lead to less definition. For more defined curls, separate and twist your hair in smaller sections or opt for a flexi-rod set, like Christi did below!
Christi achieved this look by used Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Styling Elixir. It’s a testament to the fact that you do NOT need multiple hair products to achieve a fab look! Christi did this with ONE. Christi tells us the best natural hair care tip she ever received:
“Don’t use heat on natural hair, because heat is the devil!” ~ Christi Caston
Christi admits to Hello Beautiful that the last time she used heat on her hair was a year ago. She also adds that if she does use “heat” it’s a tension blow dry…on cool. Check out Christi’s YouTube to see more natural looks and how she takes care of her fabulous hair!
