Mendeecees Harris must attend drug rehab while locked up.
Judge Frank Geraci Tuesday granted Harris’ lawyer’s request for Harris to attend substance abuse rehab in prison, though it was unclear which drug Harris is addicted to, according to Bossip.
Harris received 97 months in prison Dec. 1 as part of a plea deal where he admitted his role in a major drug trafficking ring that ferried heroin and cocaine from New York City to Rochester. Harris also has to forfeit $170,755 from his Love & Hip Hop income.
The judge allowed Harris to serve his sentence closer to New York City, where his wife Yandy Smith-Harris lives with their four children, according to Bossip.
Harris will later surrender to the U.S. Marshals Service to begin his eight year sentence. After the eight years, he’ll be on probation for five years.
