Police are currently looking for answers regarding a brawl that occurred in an NYC McDonald’s during which 20 people watched as a teenager was beaten to a pulp by a group of girls.

The teen was attacked by four girls following a disagreement at Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, according to the New York Daily News. After meeting at the local McDonald’s, the girls engaged in a massive brawl. As many people chanted and cheered, the 15-year-old hid under a table.

Police claim the girl, who is seen wearing a blue hoodie in the video, has refused to expose the identities of the girls in fear of being harmed again. The teen has two black eyes and bumps and bruises all over her body. She also refused medical care. The victim’s mother has also refused to cooperate with police.

One person is currently in police custody.

While bystanders looked on, McDonald’s employees called the police twice during the fight. Other witnesses claim there were up to 10 girls attacking the teen throughout the 3-minute fight.

The teens set up the encounter at McDonald’s, the source said. “(The victim) was there to fight,” a second police source said. “It looks like they went there to straighten out their differences and she wound up getting the worst of it.”

“She can’t sleep because she got kicked to the body,” the grandmother said as tears streamed down her cheeks. “She fell again and they had to take her to the hospital.”

Tony Herbert, an activist who arrived on the scene after the brawl, told reporters the victim shouldn’t be afraid to speak up.

“We are asking that young lady to not be afraid,” community activist Tony Herbert said outside the McDonald’s near Church Ave. where the attack took place — a known trouble spot. “Come forward. We will stand with her.”

Police have identified some of the attackers, but haven’t yet released any names.
