Daniele Watts and her beau are standing by their story that they weren’t doing anything dirty when cops picked them up in October.

Neither the actress, who starred in “Django Unchained,” nor her boyfriend Brian Lucas were present in court on Tuesday. However, the Associated Press reports that their lawyer entered a not guilty plea for misdemeanor charges of lewd conduct on their behalf.

The pair was scheduled to appear in court to answer for the charges, which stemmed from an incident last year when LAPD officers arrested them after getting complaints about a couple getting intimate in a parked car that was in plain view. Supposedly, someone thought she was a prostitute servicing a customer.

Daniele wasn’t just going to be booked for getting affectionate with her man, and she was very loud about her belief that she was being racially profiled. As she was being arrested she claimed that cops were targeting her because she’s Black.

Cops denied the accusations, stating that the arresting officer was simply following protocol.

Daniele and Brian are due back in court on February 23 for the next step in their case.
