Today, the blow that Baltimore Ravens star Ray Rice gave his wife in an elevator back in February was felt around the world as TMZ leaked footage from a surveillance camera. In the footage, the couple are arguing, and Janay takes a swipe at Ray before the elevator door closes. Once inside, Ray knocks her out cold and doesn’t look remorseful for it as he stands over her until the elevator opens again. He then attempts to drag her out before a few hotel employees enter the picture and it looks as though Janay eventually regained her conscious.
Although the NFL commissioner is said to have seen the footage, the Baltimore Ravens star only received a 2-game suspension. To add insult to injury, a press conference was held shortly after the incident and Janay apologized for her role in the altercation. The couple got married a month after the incident happened.
